2008 BWA THEME CONTEST: WE HAVE A WINNER!

Congratulations goes out to Shirley B. of Dallas, Texas — the winner of the 2008 Black Weblog Awards theme contest with this 40s Russian propaganda inspired theme which is a take on the 2005 Black Weblog Awards look and feel.

From Shirley: “The slogan I used was ‘Power of the People’, which alludes to the power Black bloggers for real social change in this country and around the world. The theme, which includes a raised fist reminiscent of the 2005 Awards, symbolizes our power to mobilize, be seen, and make a difference.”
