Michael David Cobb Bowen of Cobb!

Michael David Cobb Bowen — a self-considered “Hayekian, pragmatist, economic Chicagoan and geopolitical neoconservative” — has been actively blogging since December 1999. Bowen, who also has Google notebooks of his research available on his blog, has been featured on NPR’s “News and Notes”, Blogcritics, NPR’s “Tell Me More”, and in several magazine, website and radio interviews. Bowen is also the founder of the Conservative Brotherhood, and is currently working on a book about the movement from progressive to conservative in the African-American political tradition.

  • Capital Pun: Well, you're technically not wrong, since I'm Black on my father's side and Jewish on my mother's side. :)
  • Isn't Jay Smooth of IllDoctrine Jewish or something? I can see the black weblog awards being called the Urban blog awards lol
  • I am grateful to the creators of the awards and, most importantly, my readers for this honor! Don't know if y'all selected the prizes yet, but I'd gladly accept a donation made to T-Mobile or the NYPD Parking Enforcement Department in my honor!

Congrats to all the nominees and awardees!
  • I want to thank the Black Weblog Awards for granting me the oppurtunity to be honored for my blogging!
