New Blogger on the Block: We Got Kidz
Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 07:00AM Our new Blogger on the Block is:
Kesha Chisholm from We got Kidz.
Why did you decide to start blogging?
I started blogging to simply have a virtual album of sorts for family and friends to come and see fun videos and pics of my newborn twins. (I was tired of them monopolizing my Facebook page. lol.)
Often times the fiance and I would trip over a toy, or have a particularly frightening diaper changing experience. The reality of the fact that we were now parents would hit us heavily during these moments. We'd look at each other and say with disbelief, "We got kidz" (grammatical inaccuracy included. lol).
I started to write about these personal experiences as an urban family raising twins and people loved it... and thus; We Got Kidz officially began
When people come to your blog, what will they find?
It’s a fun and funky merging of a parenting, lifestyle, and entertainment blog all rolled into one. The fiancé and I are navigating the ups and downs of parenthood, love, and life. We’re a comical couple by nature, so I always have some sort of crazy story to tell about our parenting shenanigans.
Some would classify me as a “Mommy Blogger”, but we’re not going to do any name calling here. lol. Let’s just sum it up by saying we’re here for reader's enjoyment. Tune in daily to get a fix of entertainment news, yummy recipes, funnies, and so much more.
What's the promise you make to people who visit your blog?
You WILL be entertained. I'm funny... what can I say? ;) I'm also a freelance graphic artist, so if nothing else, you'll be impressed by the lovely images. lol.
We Got Kidz blog inspirations are:
Wow..."blogging inspirations"? This is going to sound very narcissistic, but I'd have to say myself. There aren't many "urban" Mothers in the Mommy Blog world at all. It a very cliquish, tight-knit community. I hope to pave the way, or be an inspiration for other ethnic mommies who want to share their stories and break into that genre as well.
