Nominations Extended Through August 16

1OK, so we’re having some severe issues with our normally gracious hosting company.
There have been intermittent site outages since Saturday afternoon (from my estimation from looking at the server logs); because of this, we will extend the nominations for this year to August 16, and finalist voting will begin on August 17. Finalist voting will still end on August 31, and winners will be announced on September 4.
Right now, we are looking at purchasing a dedicated server so these issues don’t arise again; if you’d like to help donate to the cause, just click the Make a Donation button in the sidebar.

The New Site Is Up!

The new Black Weblog Awards website is up. We’ll be updating our social networks and such throughout the day, as well as provide an update on this year’s Awards. Stay tuned!
New Website Coming Soon

The new website will be up this weekend. As far as logistics goes, we’ve run into quite a few snags leading up to the Awards, but rest assured, once things start on August 1, we’ll be good to go!

Framing Issue

We got wind of an issue today with our nomination form; for those of you using Internet Explorer, the form wasn’t loading fully into the frame of the page. We’ve fixed that now, so hopefully there’s no problems from here on in.
Another Year Has Come

The 2006 Black Weblog Awards are ramping up again for a second year and I’m very excited about it! Last year’s awards were a big learning experience. Soon, I’ll post the changes in this year’s categories and other rules here on our new Black Weblog Awards Blog powered by WordPress.
